Where do bats go when the temperature drops? 🦇🍂

Depending on the species and location, bats may migrate or move into protected places to hibernate. As their activity becomes less visible, homeowners may assume a summer bat problem has disappeared—but the openings bats used can remain vulnerable.

It's imperative to never seal a suspected bat entry point without knowing whether the space is clear. Trapping bats inside can create a more serious problem.

Bats are better neighbours than their spooky reputation suggests. 🦇

These fascinating mammals play an important role in healthy ecosystems by helping manage insect populations. They’re also the only mammals capable of true flight!

Protecting bats doesn’t mean allowing them to live inside our homes. Humane wildlife control gives bats the opportunity to leave safely while helping homeowners keep attics and walls protected.

Bats belong in the night sky—not inside your attic.

“How much will it cost to mouse-proof my home?” It’s one of the first questions homeowners ask—and we understand why. 🐭

Unfortunately, an accurate quote can’t be provided over the phone because every property is different. The home’s size, exterior materials, weep vents, roof vents, number of entry points and condition of affected areas can all change the scope of the work.

Our technicians complete a thorough on-site assessment to determine:

- How mice are entering
- What other areas are vulnerable
- Whether cleanup or attic remediation is needed
- What materials and repairs will provide long-term protection

Once the assessment is complete, we explain what we found, review the recommended options and provide a quote based on the property’s specific needs.

Traps and poisons may address individual mice, but they don’t close the routes allowing more to enter. Learn about Skedaddle’s customized approach: https://www.skedaddlewildlife.com/services/mice/

A quick patch isn’t always a long-term solution. 🏡

Traps, repellents and sealing the most obvious opening may reduce activity temporarily, but they don’t always address how wildlife is using the property—or where else animals could get inside.

Professional animal-proofing looks at the entire home. We identify active entry points, check for animals already inside and protect other vulnerable areas with durable materials designed for wildlife exclusion.

Contact Skedaddle for a solution that addresses the source of the problem.
