If you've noticed small dark winged insects swarming around your home in the past few days, or found piles of tiny wings near your windows and doors, you've likely experienced a termite swarm. šŸ›

Eastern subterranean termites are swarming right now across The Woodlands, and it's one of the clearest signs that a colony is active near or inside your home.

Here's what to look for:
šŸ”ø Winged insects (swarmers) flying in groups
šŸ”ø Small dark elongated bugs after they shed their wings
šŸ”ø Piles of tiny discarded wings near windowsills or doors
šŸ”ø Mud tubes running up your foundation or walls

The swarmers themselves don't eat wood, but the colony they came from does, and it's been at it for years before sending swarmers out.

We offer TrelonaĀ® Annual Termite Bait Stations, a proven system that both treats active infestations AND prevents future ones, backed by a warranty that covers future treatment costs. We also use TermidorĀ® liquid products to protect your home for years to come.

Spring in The Woodlands means baby squirrels, raccoons, and opossums are showing up everywhere, and sometimes in places they shouldn't be, like your attic. šŸæļø Here's a tip: if you find a baby animal alone outside, give it a few hours before intervening, mom is usually nearby. BUT if you hear scratching in your walls or ceiling, that's a different story.

We offer humane wildlife removal and can seal up entry points so the whole family doesn't move in. šŸ˜„ Call/text 281-297-8855.

TERMITE ALERT Y'ALL.

This tree stump in Conroe was covered in subterranean termite swarmers on Monday.

That’s what termite season looks like.

If you’re seeing swarmers around your home—windows, doors, or mulch beds—it usually means a colony is nearby and expanding.

šŸ‘‰ If you notice them on your property, give us a call. We’ll make sure your home isn’t next.

Spring is right around the corner, which means termite swarming season is about to start here in North Houston.

Homeowners in The Woodlands, Spring, and Conroe will often notice swarmers first around windows, porch lights, or garage lights, especially after warm humid evenings.

One of the biggest clues is actually piles of little clear wings on window sills or floors like in this photo. The termites shed their wings after they land and start looking for a new place to build a colony.

Seeing swarmers doesn’t always mean your home has termites, but it does mean colonies are active nearby, and it’s a good time to take a closer look.

Just a friendly early-season reminder to keep an eye out.

A lot of beautiful homes around The Woodlands have crawlspaces… and termites love crawlspaces.

So here’s a question: when’s the last time someone actually looked under your home?

That’s often where termite problems start long before they’re visible inside.

Out in Grogan’s Point today for an armadillo call.

These guys love digging through landscape beds looking for insects, which can leave yards looking pretty rough overnight.

We treated the soil with a granular repellent to help persuade the critters to move along and stop tearing up the landscaping.

Safe for plants, kids, and pets.

šŸ‘€ Would you have looked here?

This tiny gap behind a rain gutter doesn’t look like much…

But to a mouse?
It’s a front door. 🚪🐭

During an inspection, we don’t just look at the obvious spots. We check:

āœ”ļø Behind gutters
āœ”ļø Roofline transitions
āœ”ļø Utility penetrations
āœ”ļø Fascia gaps
āœ”ļø Attic entry points

Rodents only need about ½ inch to squeeze into your attic.

If you’re DIY’ing your own inspection, don’t just walk the perimeter — look up, behind, and underneath.

The difference between ā€œno problemā€ and ā€œfull attic infestationā€ is often something this small.
