Clients original fireplace was not central due to an offset chimney and previous installers doing the whole job in a day.
Undertaking the job we had to remove the old appliance and build up the chamber on one side to make each side equal. A special adapter was used on the inside of the chimney to allow for the stove pipe to go straight up. A new Firefox 8 eco multi fuel stove was installed.

Cosy nights and crackling fires are a welcome comfort on colder evenings but it’s important to use them safely.

If your log burner or open fire is back in use, make sure your chimney has been swept and your appliance properly serviced to help reduce the risk of chimney fires.

Keep logs, coal and other fuels stored well away from the heat, and always use a spark guard to stop embers escaping.

Park Ray fire removal today after a company had installed an air source heat pump and solar panels.

The fire had been left installed with the water pipes isolated but the fire and pipes still holding water. This was a significant risk to the home owners and the company advised by ourselves of this.

The company instructed us to decommission the appliance to make it safe.

Meep Installations Ltd removed the appliance whilst draining the water from the 🔥 and pipes, taking care not to damage the clients home.
The chimney was swept to remove all soot and debris, the original surround and tiles where refitted as per the clients request and finally a ventilating cowl was fitted to the chimney pot.

The client was advised about the requirement to re point their chimney.
