Can you remove pet odours from carpets and sofas?

This is something I get asked a lot, especially from pet owners.

Yes, I can treat pet odours. I use specialist solutions designed to break down the source of the smell rather than just mask it. That’s really important, because covering it up isn’t a proper fix.

It does depend on the level of contamination. If the odour has only affected the surface fibres, it’s usually straightforward. If it has soaked deeper into the carpet, underlay, or into a sofa’s padding, it can require more extensive treatment.

The good news is it can always be treated. The difference is simply the level of work needed to properly deal with it. I’ll always assess it first and explain exactly what’s involved so you know what to expect.

Every home and situation is different, and I’ll recommend the most sensible solution based on what I find.
