Before you light your fireplace for the first time this season, give it a little attention. 🔥

After sitting unused through the warmer months, October is a great time to make sure everything is ready before your fireplace becomes part of your daily routine again.

Start with your chimney. Soot and creosote can build up over time, so regular chimney cleaning and inspection are important before another season of use.

Take a look at the fireplace or stove itself for visible damage, unusual buildup, or anything that looks different from last season. Then give it a test before the really cold weather arrives. The first freezing night is not when you want to discover something is not working properly.

And do not forget the rest of your home. Test your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and replace batteries when needed.

A little preparation now can help you enjoy a safer, more comfortable fireplace season all winter long.

Need a chimney cleaning, fireplace repair, or seasonal service? Give The Stove Pipe Company a call and get it taken care of before winter arrives.
