Fresh drop of like-new aluminium windows in Surfmist — sliding, louvre, opaque, the lot — plus a matching 2.4m extra-high sliding door that’s basically the main character of the yard right now.

Not your average day at the yard… 🐾🚨

We recently had the legends from the State Emergency Service swing by Sha Liv Recycling looking for some old-school terracotta sewer pipes… and we had just the thing.

What for?
A rescue challenge — saving a (very fluffy and very fake 😅) cat stuck inside the pipe, without causing harm.

We were more than happy to donate the clay pipe and be part of something that helps train and sharpen the skills of the people who show up when it really matters.

Massive respect to the SES crews — what a fun, clever way to train for real-life rescues. 👏

Gardener Wanted (Casual – Trial Basis)

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking gardener to help maintain and improve our yard.
This will start as a casual position, with the opportunity for ongoing work if it’s the right fit.

Tasks include:
• Weeding and general garden maintenance
• Planting and helping plan new garden areas
• Brush cutting and tidying overgrown sections
• Lawn mowing and basic lawn care

What we’re after:
• Horticultural qualifications or relevant training (preferred)
• Some experience in gardening or landscaping
• Someone who enjoys working outdoors
• Takes pride in their work and has a good eye for detail
• Able to work independently
• Experience with basic gardening tools (brush cutter, mower, etc.)

Flexible hours to start — we’re happy to ease into it and see how things go.
