Good morning everybody. Could everyone please share this post as there seems to be rumours going around that I have retired, or moved away. This is false. We are still operating as best we can. Face book page has been slow as no to many exciting story's as of late. At present we have not been running 24 hours 7days due to lack of demand, increasing amounts of nuisance calls (people calling at 2am expecting free services)and sometimes personal or family obligations. Yes we are still operating.

Check this fella out. Brown tree snake. AKA Night Tiger. Getting up high and out of the wet. I don't think he took into account that he was exposed to the whole shopping centre car park. Ops busted.

I haven't seen any big Scrubs for awhile. Took a Palmcove call for this one. He is on the way to getting big. Measuring in at smidge over 4m. It appeared that he had not long ago eatern a Wallaby then curled up asleep on a second floor unit balcony.

On one of our early callouts. Im called to a house who has a snake in their pool. Upon walking in at first glance I thought yes just another Slaty Grey. I climb down into the empty pool and with a closer look its like hmm what do we have here. You are no Slaty. What we have is a Eastern Small Eye snake. Venomous.

PSA from your local MP: Always turn the lights on for those midnight bathroom visits! 💡 Thanks to Cairns Snake Removals for this very convincing photo evidence of why stumbling around in the dark might not be the best idea in Far North Queensland.

Snake season is well and truly here, and our scaly neighbours don't always stick to the garden. A quick flick of the light switch could save you from an unexpected encounter that nobody wants at 2am!

Stay safe out there, FNQ - and remember, it's always better to be temporarily blinded by the bathroom light than surprised by an uninvited guest.

Make sure before going to the toilet at night. You turn the lite on. Like this resident. She got quite a suprise.

Just a python they say. Even though pythons are non venomous, they can give you a nasty bite. This young lady was bitten by 2.5m Scrub python at Smithfield last night. Before and after pictures. Bordering on stitches. Ouch!!

Look at this little guy camouflaged in the garden. Can you see him?
