A little bit of splicing work yesterday adding a 4mm steel wire core and ajustment chain to 3 strand rope to control stretch on 3 hanging chairs at a hotel foyer.

This thing worked hard on the last job. So we did an early service. Everything inside still looks brand new. Its refreshing when a brand supplies clear maintenance instructions and a parts list, although im fairly sure Im getting stooged on the Harken grease and Harken pawl oil.

We have been doing this long enough that we have insalled new signs on many buildings more than once. We have now taken the signage off this building 4 times and installed signs on it 3 times.

Its always good working with mates especially when they are experts in their field. This is the second time we have cleaned the hydro penstock with Kelly's Australia Betwean us we cleaned over 1.6km of pipe over 900m of it inclined up to 39°.

We get a couple of hours repreave from down the tunnel while we act as standby rescue. Nice to see the sky agin

Ive been trying really hard to get a good photo but between the dark tunnel the pressure washing over spray and the intellectual property restrictions its been pretty hard. So here is a photo of the guys working in the horizantal penstock until i can do better.

At Cairns Rope Access we do a lot of hard jobs..... this wasn't one of them. We had to climb a 10m tower and spot a red helium balloon on a string peaking out of the rainforest canopy.
