Something a bit different for us this week 👀

The team at Trueguard Pest Control & Unite Grain Fumigation just wrapped up our first batch of telegraph poles being fumigated for export 🌏

We’re usually flat out with grain fumigation, but it was good to switch things up and take on something new. Safe to say it all went smoothly and we’re pretty happy with how it turned out 💪

WIDT (West Indian dry wood termites)

WIDT are active in Brisbane, and TrueGuard's on the case, clearing out frass from their tunnels to ensure a solid foam injection treatment. Removing the frass—those sawdust-like droppings—is crucial for letting the expanding foam fully fill the workings.

In most cases localised treatments are not successful in fully controlling WIDT. But if caught early the treatments can have success. If left too long the only option for complete colony control is fumigating the building.
