When doing general pest treatments I like to flip pieces of scraps or bricks left in gardens, this is why. This property with an ant problem had multiple nesting areas (beneath scrap bricks and timber in gardens) which were directly treated. This will reduce the ant pressure on the house.

Out doing a general pest on a new purchase, and look what I found, this why it's important to use both a building inspector and pest inspector. The guy doing the pre-purchase inspection missed this all together.
Someone painted right over the active termite workings on the house.
Intentional or not, I'll let you decide.
