3 years ago, Harry and I went to Bunnings, bought a ladder and some basic gear, and started knocking on doors.
We had no idea where it would lead.
Since then, Shine has grown to a team of 8, with our third crew on the way. We’ve worked on over 4,000 homes, installed thousands of metres of mesh and built up 542 five-star reviews.
But the numbers only tell part of the story.
We’ve completed some incredible commercial projects, met customers and business owners with amazing stories, seen some unreal places and views, been interviewed for a documentary series, and travelled to China to meet our manufacturer and build a partnership that now produces mesh specifically for Shine and Australian conditions.
We’ve made mistakes, taken risks, worked some ridiculous hours and learned more than we ever expected.
And somehow, what started with two guys and a ladder has turned into a team, a brand and something much bigger than we originally imagined.
The best part is we’re nowhere near finished.
Over the next few years, we want to keep growing Shine, create more opportunities for great people and see how far we can take this.
