Why is Sanitizing So Important❓🧐
Sanitizing is more important now than it has ever been. Cleaning and sanitizing, however, are not the same thing. Cleaning the surface areas of your work desks, kitchen counters, refuse bins and most of your household or office surface areas forms part of a crucial cleaning procedure. Cleaning alone does not get rid of or kill all the germs found on those surfaces. Sanitizing kills off harmful bacteria and reduces the growth of viruses. 🤓
You can clean regularly, but if you're not sanitizing or disinfecting, then cleaning alone is unfortunately not doing much at all. This will not keep your home and workplace as clean as you may think.🤭
Sanitizing is one of the most important parts of the cleaning process. Using a potent sanitizer will get rid of and reduce the spread of harmful bacterias.👩‍🏫
This is why you see stringent sanitizing protocols in your work environments, senior care facilities, medical offices, schools, daycares, restaurants and so on. A suitable sanitizer will be one that reduces the microbiological contamination to levels that are acceptable to local health regulations.🕵️
So Let's Sanitize Correctly.
1. A surface needs to be cleaned with water and an effective detergent first before you sanitize.☝️
2. An effective and appropriate sanitizer should then be used and spread over the entire surface area that was cleaned. Just spraying the sanitizer may not be effective enough.👍
If there's anything we can take away from the last year or so, it's that regular cleaning and sanitizing routines are key to creating a healthier living environment in your home or workspace.🧴

How Do Wheelie Bins Get So Dirty?
If your home and garden is your pride and joy, the last thing you need is a dirty, smelly wheelie bin cramping your style. Okay, so maybe a wheelie bin isn’t pretty and its job is to store rubbish after all, but there are a few reasons why wheelie bins can get extra smelly, and a few things you can do to stop it from happening.
How do wheelie bins get so dirty?
The things you throw away
If you put food waste in your bin for example, it will soon begin to decompose, especially in higher temperatures. Try adding it to a compost heap if appropriate, put it in a designated food waste bin, or if this is not possible, bag it separately from the other waste in your bin.
Leaky bags and containers
Bags and containers in your bin can leak and cause liquid to pool at the bottom of your bin which can be a breeding ground for bacteria. Empty containers before you put them in the bin and tie any bags securely and store them upright in the bin where possible.
They attract pests
The warmer months and the decaying waste can prove to be an irresistible attraction to pests that feed on waste like maggots. To get rid of maggots from your bin, make sure it’s emptied regularly, pour hot water on them to kill them and clean the inside of your bin thoroughly. There’s no need to use harsh chemicals, make a natural cleaner out of 2 parts water and 1 part vinegar. Keep bags of rubbish tightly sealed and rinse out any food containers before you dispose of them. Keep your wheelie bin out of direct sunlight as pests and bacteria thrive in warm and moist conditions.

A maggot infestation in your wheelie bin isn't uncommon, but it's also not nice. ... Attracted to food and other rubbish, you will only have a problem with maggots if flies have easy access to your waste and dustbins. If flies settle on your rubbish, they may lay eggs which can hatch out as maggots within 24 hours.
