Wow, what a great pool & spa show in Atlantic City. We met some great people and potential customers. The expo ran very smooth and so many exhibitors and attendees! Alot new products out there.

I don't know about you, but I am getting a boatload of leaves with the wind kicking up. Ensure your water level is higher than normal. I am keeping mine about 1-2" from the top of the intake opening to ensure proper water flow. I have taken out 4 large skimmer nets of leaves out in 3 hours.

I have seen a couple of posts that believe putting a skimmer saver in from of your intake that the screen will not allow water to flow and burn up you pool pump. That is not true. In fact, there is no difference. If you have a significant number of leaves in your pool ensure you keep your water level no lower than halfway up your skimmer intake. I keep mine a little higher for evaporation.

Some feedback that has been coming in on reviews. Leaves block water from getting in the skimmer intake and cause the pump to struggle. Answer. Keep your water level at least halfway or slightly higher and that will ensure proper water flow. Leaves float at the water line. Some will eventually sink. Also, ensure both of your baskets are free of debris and you backwash your system according to your maintenance manual. Mine is weekly.
