We’re proudly celebrating 3-years in business today at Gulfshore Pest Control! This was a big goal for me today and I want to thank all of my friends and customers for all of the support. Thanks for choosing us for your pest control needs. Also, a special shout out to my BRT friends and the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce for all of the help, business, and referrals! In respect for the safety of our customers we are going to be switching all services to exterior only for the remainder of March and all of April. This is only a temporary change for the one service (in most cases). The service will be more comprehensive on the outside and still guarantee the interior. If a problem occurs we will work with you to fix it.

If we have an appointment already scheduled for this week, I will be discussing with you prior to the service. Invoicing will be discussed separately.

Here’s an interesting ant species called Acrobat Ants that I’m still not seeing very often but I have seen an uptick in occurrences in the past year or so. They are considered a native species and will sometimes live in the walls of your house but it’s very rare to see them inside of your home. They will sting like fire ants but it’s not nearly as itchy and painful. They raise their abdomen over the rest of their body and they almost look like a spider as you can see in the video.

Here’s an article on the big headed ant that is a very good read... they’re becoming quite common in PInellas Co and beyond...

For the last few decades, bigheaded ants have been quietly outcompeting the dreaded South American invaders in Southwest Florida.
