Sugarcane Mosaic Virus is a fairly new problem for lawns that has continued to spread over the last several years in southern Pinellas, as well as other counties statewide. The virus itself is untreatable, but relieving other stressors to the lawn, i.e. chinch bugs, fungus, ect., and maintaining fertilization, will give the best chances for recovery. Elite Turf & Pest follows all recommended sanitizing guidelines for equipment after encountering an infected lawn.
