Award-winning, rapidly expanding pest control company located in St. Petersburg seeking entry level technicians. Opportunity for advancement; compensation is based on experience. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday starting at 8 am.

Responsibilities:
• Identify and treat for pests; including ants, cockroaches, rodents, termites, snakes, wasps, ants, spiders, bed bugs
• Inspect multi-family, commercial, and residential buildings and the surrounding property to identify the type and source of infestation, determine how much damage has been done and secure access to infested locations
• Provide clients with safety warnings and other directions regarding leaving the premises or covering sensitive furnishing and other items during the treatment process
• Maintain professional working relationships with property managers and office staff by acting as a communications liaison between American Pest Management and customers
• Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork upon completion of each job
• Communicate with office staff throughout the day, and be willing to accept jobs on-request, outside of regularly scheduled route
• Adjust chemical mixtures according to the size of areas where treatment is necessary
• Use all appropriate protective equipment during product application

Skills:
• Must have physical stamina; must be able to withstand outdoor conditions involving standing for a long period of time
• Must be detail oriented and able to follow detailed instructions involving treatment procedures and guidelines
• Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must possess team spirit and be able to work well in a team environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

Qualifications:
• Must have driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and climb for long periods of time
• High school diploma or equivalent education preferred
