The strength of any asphalt surface starts long before the pavement is laid. A proper base and grade are the foundation of a long-lasting parking lot or driveway.

If the base isn’t compacted correctly or the grading is off, water will find its way underneath the asphalt- leading to settling, cracking, potholes, and premature failure.

At Southwest Paving, we take the extra time to properly prep, grade, and compact every project before paving begins. A smooth finish is important, but what’s underneath matters even more.
