⚠️ Snow Storm Safety Notice ⚠️

With the incoming snowstorm, we want to remind everyone to be aware of the serious hazards winter weather can create—especially when it comes to trees.

Heavy, wet snow and ice can overload tree limbs, causing them to crack or fail without warning. These conditions significantly increase the risk of:
🌲 Trees or limbs falling onto homes, vehicles, and roadways
⚡ Trees contacting power lines, leading to outages or dangerous live wires
🚧 Blocked driveways and emergency access routes

Please keep a safe distance from snow-loaded trees and never approach or attempt to remove limbs tangled in power lines. These situations are extremely dangerous and should only be handled by trained professionals.

If you notice leaning trees, hanging limbs, or storm damage during or after the storm, reach out to a licensed and insured tree service for an assessment. Early action can help prevent further damage and keep your family and property safe.

Stay safe, stay warm, and be cautious during the storm. If you have concerns or need emergency tree assistance, don’t hesitate to contact us.

With the forecast calling for high winds and snow, we want to remind everyone that winter weather can cause trees to come into contact with utility lines, or bring the lines down entirely.

If you encounter a downed line, stay back and call 911 immediately. Never approach the line or the surrounding area. A utility line can remain energized without showing any visible signs.

Here are the ways you can report an outage:

- Text “Out” to (906) 228-0300 (your cell phone number must be on the account)

- Report outages through the SmartHub Mobile App (available on Apple and Android) or through the customer portal at mblp.org/smarthub
