Your pool filter is the unsung hero of your backyard oasis. It works hard behind the scenes to keep your water crystal clear and safe for swimming. To keep it running at its best, remember these three essentials:
Watch the Pressure: Check your pressure gauge weekly. A rise of 8-10 PSI above the ""clean"" starting pressure usually means it’s time for a backwash or a manual cleaning.
Consistency is Key: Run your filtration system long enough to turn over the entire volume of water at least once a day (usually 8–12 hours depending on your pool size).
Deep Clean Seasonally: Even with regular maintenance, filters need a deep clean or a chemical soak once or twice a season to remove oils, lotions, and scale buildup that backwashing can’t reach.
Is your water looking a little cloudy? It might be time for a filter inspection or a replacement! Let the pros handle the dirty work so you can get back to relaxing.
