Before and after on a drain line repair in Idaho Falls 🔧 The old section had given out inside the wall, so we opened it up, put in new pipe, and tied it back in clean. Plenty of older homes around here still have original drain pipe that wears out over time. Soft spot in a wall, a leak you can't pin down, or a drain that only acts up sometimes? Here's a quick one worth checking this week. This toilet supply line in Rexburg came apart right at the plastic nut under the tank. It's a small part that's easy to forget about, and when it goes, water has nowhere to go but the floor. Take a minute and look behind your toilets. If the nut is cracked or the line looks worn, it's an easy swap now. And it's good to know where that little shutoff valve at the wall is, so you can turn the water off fast if anything ever lets go. Quick kitchen tip from our crew! Grease, coffee grounds and potato peels are some of the most common reasons kitchen sinks clog. Grease goes down warm and harmless, then cools and sticks to the inside of the pipe, and everything else catches on it. Wipe greasy pans with a paper towel before you wash them, toss coffee grounds in the trash, and scrape plates into the garbage instead of the sink. Your drains will thank you. This is what we pulled out of a sewer line here in Eastern Idaho. 🌳 Tree roots find tiny cracks and just keep growing until water can't get by. If your drains are slowing down all over the house, you're hearing gurgling, or there's a soggy patch in the yard that never dries, roots could be the reason. Don't wait for a backup.
