Chevrolet Suburban High Country

After hauling the family and their boat down and back to the Outer Banks, this bad boy was due for a spa day. ☀️

We picked through it with a fine tooth comb, cleaning the paint of road grime, bug guts and water spots, revealing a buttery smooth surface to be sealed up with our durable SI02 spray sealant.

The interior was rid of sand, dropped snacks and a week’s worth of fun vacation oopsies. All of the interior substrates were properly nourished, leaving a healthy, non-greasy surface with beautiful aesthetics. ✨

2014 Volkswagen Passat

With roughly 130k on the clock, this daily expressway driver needed a little bit of love. After a thorough chemical decontamination, removing heavy build up of road grime, bug guts and iron deposits, we applied a heavy amount of touch up paint to front end chips in places such as the bumper, the hood and the valance. 💅

After the paint touch up, we performed a paint enhancement to bring out tons of missing gloss and clarity and sealed the paint with a durable spray sealant to protect the paint from Mother Nature going forward.

Lastly, we pulled the wheels and tires from the car to further decontaminate them and apply our industrial-grade ceramic coating to the faces and barrels, leaving them with unparalleled gloss and protection. 🛡️

Recents of some maintenance details we performed. Both of these vehicles were protected by CED in years past.

The GMC Yukon is wearing FEYNLAB’s Self Healing Ceramic Coating that we applied almost 5 years ago. This coating itself is nearing the end of its lifespan and showing signs of degradation, but the paint still looks like that day we coated it. Science is cool. 😎

The Mustang Mach-E was coated in FEYNLAB’s Ceramic Ultra V2 last year, and is performing as good as the day it was applied. After a thorough wash, the gloss and clarity was back to healthy levels!

Both of these vehicles received full interior details as well, leaving them with a total reset, in and out. ✨

Let’s get straight to the point here. Unprotected paint can lead to a plethora of damage. Quick damage, long-term damage, minor damage and extensive, irreversible damage.

You have a multitude of options for paint and surface protection. The issue is, the detail industry likes to make it muddy for consumers. There are 10 million terms that get thrown around loosely and are expected by business owners to be easily understood by their customers. Paint protection film, ceramic coatings, sealants, liquid PPF, blah blah blah. Short term and long term protection. 3 year this, 7 year that.

It’s not easy to shop for something when you have too many options with no clear benefits. Paint protection film does something completely different than a ceramic coating. A ceramic coating has a longer lifespan than a sealant, so on and so forth.

While ultimately it’s your decision to choose the type of protection for your vehicle based on your budget, goals and driving habits— there is one point in particular we want to drive home. 🏡

Ceramic coatings, film or sealants don’t eliminate maintenance—they make maintenance more effective.

They are all engineered in some way shape or form to acts as a sacrificial barrier to absorb the abuse of environmental contamination— instead of your clear coat. But contaminants still accumulate over time. Without regular washes and proper decontamination, those contaminants can clog coating pores, reducing hydrophobicity, gloss, and overall performance. They can degrade PPF, leading to premature oxidation and the breakdown of even the best films.

Regular maintenance keeps the protection of your choice functioning as intended and extends its service life. 💦☀️

Protection IS the investment for your investment. The “buy once, cry once” decision. Maintenance PROTECTS the investment for your investment. The sustainable, self regulating decision.
