In Memory of a Life Well Lived -

Some people come into your life through business. A few leave behind something much deeper. Mike Poznansky was one of those few.

One of our very first Chicago-area clients, Mike was more than just an aviator—he was a believer. He saw something in Midwest Aircraft Detailers early on and made sure we knew it. He didn’t just fly aircraft—he lifted up everyone.

Whenever we sent out a marketing idea or needed feedback, Mike was always the first to text back—thoughtful, honest, and encouraging. He gave us his time, his insight, and his support when we needed it most. That kind of loyalty doesn’t show up on spreadsheets. It shows up in moments—and Mike showed up every time.

Mike flew several aircraft over the years, but we always had the sense that his Cessna 185 was his favorite. It wasn’t just a plane to him—it was a part of who he was. When we were asked to detail it for his celebration of life, it was an honor beyond words.

That detail meant more than just bringing out a shine—it was about respect, remembrance, and gratitude. Every wipe of the surface, every polish pass was a thank you for the belief he placed in us, the example he set, and the friendship he offered.

Mike’s impact reached far beyond the cockpit. He was a connector, a listener, and someone who made people feel seen. His loss is felt deeply—not just by those who loved him, but by the entire aviation community.

We’ll miss his texts, his smile, his stories.
But his spirit will always fly with us.
