How often should your wastewater system be serviced? 🤔

Regular servicing is the key to keeping your wastewater system running efficiently and avoiding costly breakdowns.
Most domestic systems should be serviced every 6–12 months, depending on the type of system and household usage.

Routine servicing helps:
🔹 Keep pumps and blowers operating correctly
🔹 Keep filters clean and effluent field clear of sludge
🔹 Prevent unpleasant smells and blockages
🔹 Extend the life of your system
🔹 Ensure everything stays compliant with council requirements

Signs your system may need attention sooner:

EMS Team Spotlight - Introducing our Senior Technician Trent

I am a husband and father of three, I enjoy following the Rabbitohs, hunting, darts, music, a beer or two, and tackling the never-ending home renovation projects.

In my role, I install domestic and commercial wastewater systems, create detailed wastewater system designs, lay drains, provide technical support, and troubleshoot breakdowns - No two days are ever the same!!!

Last week, Daniel, Mark and Trent attended the NZ Land Treatment Collective Conference in Tauranga.

The NZLTC plays an important role in improving communication across all stakeholders in the waste management industry, while also supporting research to develop and improve land treatment technology here in New Zealand.

There was plenty of valuable and relevant on-site wastewater information for the EMS team, along with great discussions and insights shared throughout the event.

A big thank you to all the speakers, sponsors, organisers, and teams who hosted and invited us on the field trips. We appreciate the opportunity to learn, connect, and see innovative projects and technologies in action.

Exciting progress on this new build project!

These photos show dual on site wastewater tanks being installed for a new home currently under construction.

Trent was our technician onsite during this installation, successfully installing this system in one day. A big thank you to Aqualine Contractors for handling the excavation works, and JRP Lifting these tanks in on this challenging site.

Great teamwork all around to keep this project moving smoothly!
