He Toa Takitini We are the Post Settlement Governance Entity for Heretaunga Tamatea.

He Toa Takitini is the organisation, mandated by hapū/marae claimant groups within the Heretaunga-Tamatea Inquiry District to:
- settle the many claims in the Inquiry District through Direct Negotiations with the Crown,
- keep all claimant groups and the wider iwi informed,
- be a point of contact for all whom interests the different claims represent.

**EXCITING HOUSING ANNOUNCEMENT**

We’ll be accepting Expressions of Interest at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) for homes at Te Rauā, our unique housing development (plans pictured below).

It is important that as many people as possible can attend our AGM so we can hear your kōrero and get your votes on resolutions that will guide parts of the year ahead, which is why we’re offering this option to whānau at the AGM. The AGM is taking place at 2pm this Saturday, 26 November at Taihoa Marae.

What's available:
* 30 whānau homes that have a range of 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms with sections
* 26 kaumātua homes that have a range of 1 and 2 bedrooms plus a 12 bedroom communal home

These will be provided initially as affordable rentals with opportunities for whānau to purchase later.

How to apply:
*Be a registered member of Tātau Tātau o Te Wairoa
* Attend our AGM which begins 2pm Saturday 26 November at Taihoa Marae, 172 State Highway 2, Wairoa.
* Complete an Expression of Interest form. This is the first phase.
* Following this, an assessment of key criteria will be undertaken to ensure we create an environment that brings to life the unique goals of Te Rauā.
*First time home owner
* We will contact each applicant separately in due course.

Environmental management for a sustainable future.

This programme focuses on environmental issues, their impact on societies and ecosystems, and their mitigation. The terrestrial strand will equip you with the knowledge of soul science, water resources, biodiversity, ecology and organism monitoring. You will also learn how to identify and manage the resources for an environmental project.

This diploma will prepare you for roles in environmental consultant/technician, conservation officer, park ranger and environmental researcher.
