A year ago, I got asked to price up a shower glass restoration job, and also a clean of the shower base and walls. The phrase "It's not actually that bad" was used too many times, so I asked for a photo. It must not have been "that bad" after all as I never heard back once I submitted my quote....

Yesterday, I did a job for a lovely lady. Or rather, I tried to...and failed. It happens every now and again, and it's frustrating to have to tell a customer that I can't restore the glass on their shower. Naturally, I don't charge in situations like this...but I also realised that I've never mentioned the ShineBrite guarantee before...if I can't restore your shower glass, there's no fee. Obviously some conditions apply (must be based in Christchurch, glass under 10 years old etc.) but it covers most situations!

When people hear that I restore mineral stained glass, a lot assume that I "spray and walk away". I wish it was that simple sometimes! Even though this shower was only lightly damaged, and the video is playing at a much higher speed than reality, it gives a better idea of what is involved in the process.

I noticed these heaters on a few shower glass restoration jobs recently and mentioned the recall of these heaters to the customer...none of which were even aware of.

Several models have been recalled due to overheating concerns, including the S2068. The model number is usually at the top when mounted like this. If you can't see the model number, holding your phone above the heater and taking a photo should allow you to see it.
