The Wheel Wolves are hosting a public memorial ride for Matthew Arnold on Saturday, June 6th, and riders who knew Matt, rode with him, worked alongside him, or were connected to his cycling community are warmly invited to join.

The ride will be one large peloton led by Matt’s son, Clem, following one of Matt’s favourite routes around the bays. There will also be a stop in Lyttelton at Sons & Co, Matt’s former office, for morning tea and a chance to reflect and share stories.

This is intended to be a respectful community ride to remember Matt and celebrate the friendships, generosity, and passion for cycling that he shared with so many people.

Meeting outside PMH at 9:00am on Saturday, June 6th.
Approximate distance: 80km.

What an epic weekend at the Coast to Coast! 🌊🏔️

Massive congratulations to all the 5 Passes Riders who took on the challenge — you were absolutely everywhere out there.

A very special shout-out has to go to our own wee alpaca, Kingsford — through pure determination and grit, you pulled it off! Your resilience is nothing short of incredible. What a performance 💪🔥

Huge congratulations as well to Thea Taylor Trevail in the Women’s One Day — 4th and 5th place! Truly amazing results in an exciting race 👏

And who could forget Sam “The Man” Manson — 2nd in the One Day event! Outstanding effort and a podium to celebrate 🥈💥

There were so many 5 Passes riders out there giving it everything that I can’t name you all — but every single one of you deserves massive congratulations. What a team. What a weekend. 🙌🚴‍♂️🔥

We’re still a year out and entries are already matching this year’s total!
35 females (more than last Tour) and 110 males across all grades are already locked in.
