Lots of new sweeps have been chimneys that haven’t been swept for years! This creates more work, is dangerous and definitely not worth the risk! Call or message for a prompt, reliable service. 07585 170382

One of today’s jobs was this lovely Aga flue to sweep. Unfortunately the chimney hadn’t been swept for at least 2 years....

One of today’s jobs was this lovely Aga flue to sweep. Unfortunately the chimney hadn’t been swept for at least 2 years. There was a large amount of bird nest debris, sticks, sheep’s wool etc in the flue and it took nearly 3 hours to clear. If your Aga flue is blocked it’s not safe, please get it swept annually. 07585 170382

Cosy nights and crackling fires are a welcome comfort on colder evenings but it’s important to use them safely.

If your log burner or open fire is back in use, make sure your chimney has been swept and your appliance properly serviced to help reduce the risk of chimney fires.

Keep logs, coal and other fuels stored well away from the heat, and always use a spark guard to stop embers escaping.
