We have decided to invest in some new equipment for the workshop in the form of 2 new hydraulic lifts to make life easier and quicker for servicing. Need to sort out some minor modifications for the trailers but we've already noticed a reduction in Peters complaints about his back.
If you need any work doing regarding trailers please give us a ring as we are now also offering mobile service and small repairs at your yards.

Have you had your ramp hinges checked?
We check the above models when they are in for servicing.
They were originally steel and powder coated, so they got rusty and in some cases they failed and ramps fell off.
If you are in any doubt and your trailer hasn't been serviced, do get them checked out. We can offer you a free inspection if you want to pop and see us.

We had an interesting job to go to last week, got a call from one of our colleagues asking if we could help them on a repair at their workshops. Very envious of their workshop.
A customer had had a serious accident and damaged the roof and front ramp surround.
We stripped the front ramp and it's surround to find the ramp hinges we're rotten so they got changed at the same time , the roof was then removed and the frame cleaned up and then the rebuild could begin.

Here we have an old photo of a test we did to try and show the difference in the strength of different types of flooring used on horse trailers.
We think it's worth a re-run as there has been a number of trailers coming up for sale as cheap safe transport for your horses with marine ply floors and its the best way to realise how different these things react to weight.
It's also worth reiterating that marine ply is not moisture proof unlike phenolic ply which uses a waterproof glue but still needs to be sealed along any cut edges.
