If you hadn’t already heard, The King paid a visit to the wonderful town of Knaresborough yesterday… but what happened on his way out of town truly stole the show!

As the royal convoy made its way through Yorkshire, His Majesty was reportedly left completely speechless after spotting the legendary AgriPest Management billboard standing proudly roadside.

At first, he believed it was merely folklore… a mythical Yorkshire company spoken about in whispers amongst farmers, commercial businesses, domestic properties and countryside folk alike. But no — the legends were true!

Unfortunately, the photographer missed the exact moment The King reached for his iPhone to snap a picture of the billboard to show his family that AgriPest Management really does exist… protecting the good people of Yorkshire from pests while also saving countless honeybee hives from peril! 🍯🐝

Another successful honey bee removal treatment 🍯 🐝
This colony of honey bees had been established in the disused chimney stack for over 8 years!
Needless to say a significant number of honeybees were safely removed with approximately 20kg of honeycomb.

If you have honeybees causing a issue it is really important to contact a professional in bee removals or a member of the BBKA - The British Beekeepers Association for advice, unfortunately we are seeing to many individuals and companies treating honeybees with insecticide or trying to block them in resulting in much bigger issues further down the line!

AgriPest Management is Yorkshire’s award-winning agricultural pest management company, providing specialist services to estates, farms, domestic, and commercial clients across the region. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, hands-on business working in a variety of environments, from rural estates to residential properties.

The Role:

As a Pest Control Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting, treating, and preventing pest infestations while delivering a high standard of service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections to identify pest activity and entry points
• Carry out pest control treatments for rodents, insects, birds, and other pests using approved methods
• Install and maintain traps, bait stations, and proofing solutions
• Develop tailored pest management plans for clients
• Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records
• Provide expert advice to clients on pest prevention and safety
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and used safely
• Carry out contract inspections and routine maintenance on various sites
• Participate in evening and night shooting when required
• Confidently promote and recommend suitable products and services to clients

Requirements:

• Previous pest control experience is preferred, although full training can be provided for the right candidate looking to start a career within the industry
• Relevant pest control qualifications/certifications or willingness to work towards obtaining them
• FAC licence (Fi****ms Certificate) or willingness to obtain one
• Full UK driving licence (must be able to travel to Wetherby daily)
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit and comfortable working in varied indoor and outdoor environments
• Good understanding of the countryside and farming practices
• Professional, trustworthy, punctual, and well-presented

First wasp nest of 2026!
Queen wasps will begin building their nests in early spring as temperatures increase. The queen has hibernated over winter and will begin working alone to build a small, golf-ball-sized nest out of chewed wood pulp, laying her first 10-20 eggs before workers take over in late May or June.
