🐝🐝 Wasps & Hornets live and let live? 🐝🐝

The wasps & hornets have now arrived. Later than normal this year and in less numbers than previous years. With insect numbers in general having fallen again this year, ask yourselves do you really need to treat that wasp or hornets nest???

Are they causing damage to a property?

Are they causing an issue with their nest location?

Are they likely to cause a potential risk?

If not, then live and let live. It's not always necessary to treat wasps & hornets contrary to what most pest control companies or one man bands say. Total Control Pest Solutions & Wildlife Management only believe in carry out treatments when necessary, which may sound odd as a registered and accredited "pest control" company but then that's what makes us different.

SOLAR PANELS - BIRD PROOFING

If you find feral pigeons are roosting or nesting under your solar panels and causing a mess, damage, noise etc then please get in touch.

Here at Total Control Pest Solutions & Wildlife Management we offer a non harmful proofing solution to deny birds access to the area. All solar panel jobs are completed with fabricated mesh work and secured using specialist metal fixings. No drilling or screwing to the panels is carried out nor any plastic fixings which become brittle over time. We give a 2 YEAR GUARANTEE as a minimum on all solar panel jobs.

🐝 🐝 Bee's & Wasp's 🐝 🐝

Bee's

We are currently in swarming season for Bee's. Remember that Bee's swarm and wasp's do not.

Bee's will often settle for a number of hours or sometimes a couple of days to rest. They will normally move on so please don’t disturb them and definitely do not kill them.

If you find that the honey bee's have taken up residence in a void, chimney or similar area that requires them to be extracted humanly then feel free to call.

As a company Total Control have a no treatment policy on all bee's.

Wasp's

Contrary to belief, the common wasp serves a number of important roles throughout its life. They are nature's pest controllers feeding their larvae other insects, they are also useful pollinators. Wasp's can also be a valuable food source for other animals.

It's not always necessary to treat a wasps nest.

Sometimes with the right advice this can be avoided and the wasps left unharmed.
