✨A space is opening up in our team in the next couple of months and we'll be looking for another cleaner to join us. Expected start date mid September.✨

I'll be putting an official advert up in the next couple of weeks but here's the main info for any early interest:

Part time minimum of 18 hours with scope to increase over time - must be flexible

Based around Hornsea, covering Hull and East Yorkshire

A mix of domestic and deep cleans, full training given

Employed, PAYE with holiday pay

You'll need a full licence and your own car, and a strong eye for detail to notice the things most people walk straight past.

This might be an unpopular opinion 😳

But cleaning is one of the most undervalued jobs out there.

As a legitimate limited company we’ve got staff costs, taxes, fuel, products, insurance, accounting fees.. I could go on..

And still, a lot of people think £15 an hour is a good rate.

We’d actually be running at a LOSS at anywhere near that, even paying our staff minimum wage.

Cleaning is back breaking work. I don’t believe it should be treated as a minimum wage role, especially not deep cleans. They’re really hard graft.

There are people out there who’ll clean for £15 an hour, and that’s their choice to make.

But for a company, with employed, insured staff, cover when someone’s poorly, and cleans that don’t get missed, you’re looking at atleast £20-25 an hour, and more for deep cleans.

We will never be the cheapest, but I won’t join the race to the bottom.

A bit of everything in the diary over the next couple of weeks 👀

A garage workshop clean, a few one off deep cleans, a couple of end of tenancy cleans, a post renovation clean and a commercial kitchen deep clean, all fitted around our regular clients and holiday let turnovers.

No two weeks look the same in this job, and I love it 🙌 One day it’s getting a place ready for new tenants, the next it’s a full reset for someone who just needs their weekends back.

We’ve got three slots left this month and once they’re gone, that’s July done:

Monday 20th - 5 hours - £150
Tuesday 21st - 5 hours - £150
Thursday 23rd - 4 hours - £125

These are one-off slots rather than a full house clean. Tell us what matters most and we’ll get through as much as we can in the time.
