A busy day today carrying out multiple wasp nest 🐝 treatments locally in Hillam, Sherburn In Elmet and Cawood!

Wasp nest 🐝 treatment carried out today in Cawood!

Wasp nest 🐝 treatment carried out today in Wistow!

Wasp nest 🐝 treatment carried out today at a domestic property!

This wasp nest was contained inside the wall cavity at high level above a bedroom window, and wasps were accessing the cavity via a small gap above the window frame. The nest was treated externally.

Tricky Mole caught whilst I was on site setting traps!

🟢SLR Pest Management was called out the other day to a domestic garden job to deal with a problem mole that had been causing a lot of damage to the lawn, tearing it up with very shallow tunnels.

🟢The mole had been tunnelling extremely shallow just below the surface which is a mole trappers worst nightmare, and made setting traps a challenge!

🟢As I was on site this morning to check the traps I set the other day, and setting a pair of Putange traps, I heard one of the Talpex traps set on the previous visit trigger, catching the mole whilst I was there!

🟢I am confident that the problem mole has now been dealt with, however traps have been left in place for further monitoring.

Rats 🐀 entering a property in York via a fault in the drainage system!

🟢The customer contacted SLR Pest Management reporting noises being heard in the loft space.

🟢On the initial inspection evidence of rat activity was located in the loft space, and upon inspection of the drains I located a fault in the drainage system which I suspected was the likely ingress point that rats were using to enter the property.

🟢UV tracking powder was placed on the drain bench to confirm my suspicions that rats were currently using the suspected ingress point to enter the property. As you can see from the video this was the case!

🟢Minor proofing repairs have been conducted in the drainage system to prevent further rat ingress into the property via the ingress point.

🟢Further monitoring is to be carried out inside the property with use of traps and motion cameras to confirm that the issue has been resolved.
