This oak floor in Gainsborough had become worn, tired and heavily marked over time, but after a full sand and restoration the natural character of the wood really came back to life.
We carried out a full multi-stage sanding process to remove the old finish and surface wear before finishing the floor in a premium hardwax oil for a natural, durable finish that enhances the grain without looking overly glossy.

Hardwax oil is a popular choice for oak floors as it gives a more natural appearance while still offering excellent protection and easier long-term maintenance.

Another oak floor brought back to life.
This floor had heavy water marks, worn areas and an old uneven finish that was really starting to show its age. After a full professional sanding process we were able to remove the damaged finish, restore the natural colour of the oak and finish it in a durable hardwax oil.
Hardwax oil works really well on oak floors as it enhances the natural grain while still giving good protection and an easy-to-maintain finish.
The transformation on this one was massive — hard to believe it’s the same floor.

Original pine floor restored in Cleethorpes
This was an original pine floor the customer had inherited. It had become hard to clean, worn, and scratched over time — typical of older floors that haven’t been properly sanded back before.
We carried out a full sand, starting with a belt sander to remove the top layer, then worked through the full grit sequence to refine the surface.
The final stages were done using a planetary machine to remove any remaining sanding marks and leave a smooth, even finish.
No major repairs were needed on this one, but proper preparation still plays a big part.
All gaps were cleaned out and nails knocked down before sanding — small details, but they make a big difference to the end result.
The floor was finished in hardwax oil. This was chosen for its natural look, ease of maintenance, and the ability to repair or recoat areas in the future if needed.
The end result is a perfectly flat floor with a clean, natural finish — exactly how a pine floor should look.
