Our Sustainability and Safety Director, Martina Donohoe, has shared her perspective in Environment Analyst's new Future of Environmental & Sustainability Consultancy report, one of the sector's key global benchmarks, showing that while the drivers for sustainability remain firmly in place, delivery increasingly has to prove its value.

Drawing on her deep experience and regular conversations with customers, Martina highlighted that organisations remain focused on net zero commitments, verified targets and credible progress. She also noted that many organisations have already established their sustainability strategies; the challenge now is turning those commitments into action, supported by technology that can keep pace.

There were plenty of smiles across some of our sites for International Security Officers' Day this year. From cards and chocolates to heartfelt thank-yous in person, teams and clients across the UK and Ireland took a moment to recognise the people who look after their sites every day.
It was a genuine show of appreciation, and a fitting way to mark the work our security colleagues put in all year round.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to fulfil their potential at work, and last week we took another step towards making that possible for more people.

At a prestigious corporate site we support in London, our teams hosted a Purpose in Action: Career Connector Workshop in collaboration with Mencap, bringing together talented young people with learning disabilities and the teams ready to support them as they begin their careers. Individuals joined us to showcase their strengths, meet potential workplace teams and learn more about customer-facing roles.

Through our partnership with Mencap, we're creating supported internship opportunities across five sites in London that we support. Throughout the academic year, learners will gain valuable workplace experience while developing their employability, customer service and communication skills.

Every placement is supported by Mencap job coaches alongside on-site mentors, helping each individual build confidence, develop new skills and prepare for long-term employment.

This marks the beginning of our partnership with Mencap and reflects our commitment to creating meaningful opportunities for people who face barriers to work.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a success. We look forward to welcoming these future colleagues over the coming months.

A university graduation is one of life's biggest milestones, and behind every ceremony is a huge amount of work to make sure graduates, families and guests can simply enjoy the moment.

During the Graduation 2026 ceremonies at Ulster University's Coleraine Campus, our Bidvest Noonan cleaning and security teams worked side by side to create a safe and welcoming environment for the thousands of graduates and visitors celebrating their achievements.

That meant preparing the campus before the first guests arrived, keeping facilities spotless throughout the day, helping people move safely across busy spaces, and offering a warm welcome to everyone who came. Every colleague played their part in delivering a day worthy of the occasion.

Graduation days bring together proud families, friends and whole communities, creating memories that last for years.
Congratulations to all the Ulster University graduates of 2026.

When people think about making a difference in healthcare, they often picture doctors and nurses. But behind every clean, calm and welcoming health facility is a team whose work shapes the experience of everyone who visits. At VHI Carrickmines, Nina Ghimp is one of those people.

From urgent treatment and paediatrics to diagnostics, specialist clinics and rehabilitation, the site supports patients across many different needs, and as Site Supervisor, Nina helps keep it running to exceptionally high standards every day. She coordinates cleaning and support services in an environment where hygiene and attention to detail are everything, leading with a people-first approach: supporting her team, responding to the client, and solving problems with professionalism and genuine warmth.

That standard shows. Feedback from the client highlights the exceptional levels maintained on site, particularly around Infection Prevention and Control, noted as exceeding those found in many hospital settings. It reflects both the quality of the service and Nina's leadership behind it.

Day in, day out, Nina helps create a safer, healthier environment for everyone who walks through the door. It's that lasting impact that saw her recognised with a Purpose Hero award.

In June, we brought together more than 700 colleagues from across our business for our Strategy Roadshows in Dublin, Manchester and London for an engaging, in-person day of connection, conversation and shared direction.

Across the three cities, colleagues heard directly from our executive and senior leadership teams on our priorities for the year ahead, to reflect on and celebrate the progress we've made, with time to connect and enjoy the day together as one team. Some of the most valuable moments happened between the sessions, where colleagues from different sectors, functions and locations exchanged ideas and learned from one another.

We've captured some of the highlights in the video below. Thank you to everyone who organised, led and took part

Today is Nelson Mandela International Day. This year's theme, "It's still in our hands to combat poverty and inequity," is a reminder that change is built from action, not words alone. Acting for the good of the communities we work in is part of how we do business every day, not just on 18 July.

When a member of the public collapsed outside a building in Victoria, London, and became unresponsive, every second mattered. Anthony Delaney made them count.

Anthony, our Security Manager on site, went straight to the man and took charge with real care, easing him into the recovery position, keeping his airway clear, and staying beside him until the ambulance arrived. He briefed the paramedics the moment they reached the scene, and through it all, with people coming and going around him, he remained calm and reassuring, keeping the client and everyone in the building informed. Thanks to how quickly he acted, the man reached hospital without delay, getting the care he needed.

For those who know Anthony, none of it came as a surprise. Since joining Bidvest Noonan, he has earned deep trust across his team and clients, stepping up into a leadership role within six months.

His manager that day, Ali Agip, puts it simply: "To me, Anthony is a future leader. The client absolutely loves him, and communication is his real strength. I'm very proud of what he's achieved."

Congratulations, Anthony, on being recognised as one of our Purpose Heroes. Moments like these show what it really means to create safer and healthier communities.
