The 2026 Global Light Rail Awards take place tonight, and we're delighted to be in contention for two awards.

The awards celebrate the people, projects and partners driving the light rail sector forward, bringing together leaders from across the industry for an evening of recognition.

We're shortlisted for Supplier of the Year for our work across several of the UK's largest and busiest light rail networks, while our cleaning team at Nottingham Express Transit is up for Team of the Year. Working around moving trams, passenger peaks and overnight engineering access, our teams keep trams and stops ready for passengers and act as an extra set of eyes and ears across the network.

Congratulations to our security team at The Mall Wood Green, named Security Team of the Year at the Sceptre Awards 2026.

Working in a busy shopping centre, the team often faces difficult and unpredictable situations where calm decision-making and compassion matter most. Over the past year, they have saved lives, protected colleagues and supported retailers, and their work reaches well beyond the centre into the local community.

What stands out is how they respond. Whatever the situation, they act with discipline and humanity, looking after the people around them while keeping the centre safe and welcoming for everyone who visits and works there.

Hugh Reid Jr., Soft Services Manager, said, "I'm really proud of this team. They've become a dependable part of The Mall Wood Green community, always there when it matters most. This award belongs to every one of them, and it's great to see their work recognised.

Meet Aaron Costello, our Technical Lead on the Dundrum Town Centre contract. Aaron's career with Bidvest Noonan began through our apprenticeship programme, where he trained as an electrician alongside experienced engineers. Today, he leads the engineering team at a shopping centre that welcomes around 18 million visitors a year.

Shoppers and retailers rarely see the systems his team looks after, but they rely on them every day, from lighting, heating and air conditioning to the centre's electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Scheduled checks identify potential faults early, engineers respond quickly when something needs attention, and longer-term projects keep the building performing as it should.

Aaron and his team prioritise work based on risk and operational impact, working closely with the client. Using Task, our digital operations platform, he can assign jobs, track them through to completion and give the client clear visibility of the work across the site.

The team brings together engineers with a wide range of skills and experience, something Aaron sees as one of its strengths. As he puts it: "You're surrounded by people who are always trying to go a bit further in their own careers. That can be extremely motivational."

Aaron is now studying electrical engineering and supporting the apprentices starting their careers within the team.

Jade Cunningham, Contract Manager for our Technical Services team at Dundrum Town Centre, said: "Aaron's progression from apprentice to Technical Lead demonstrates the value of investing in our people. The experience he has gained strengthens our team and the service we provide, while creating opportunities for the apprentices who follow him."

Aaron began his career learning from the engineers around him. Now the next group of Bidvest Noonan apprentices at Dundrum are learning from him.

October marks Black History Month, an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the history, achievements and contributions of Black people and communities across the UK and beyond.

At Bidvest Noonan, our colleagues bring different backgrounds, cultures and experiences to work every day. Creating a workplace where people can share those experiences, learn from one another and feel that they belong is an important part of our approach to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Meet Andrew Case, part of our security team at The Square Tallaght and one of our latest Purpose Heroes.

The Square is one of Dublin's busiest shopping centres, with thousands of people passing through every day. On one of his regular mobile patrols of the car park, Andrew noticed a woman who was clearly distressed. Her car wouldn't start, and as he stopped to help, he learned she had driven up from Limerick to bring her daughter to a chemotherapy appointment. Now stranded and a long way from home, the last thing she needed was to face it alone.

Sensing how stressful the moment was, Andrew stayed with the family, kept them calm, and took the problem off their hands entirely, arranging for a mechanic from a garage within the centre to come and get them going again. Before long the car was running, and the family were able to make the journey home, looked after from start to finish.

Modest as ever, Andrew mentioned it to no one. His colleagues only found out when the customer called the centre to pass on her thanks, and the client shared her message.

It's easy to see a broken-down car as a small thing. Andrew saw the person behind it, at a genuinely hard moment, and made sure they were cared for.

The 2026 Facilities Management Awards UK took place last Friday, and it was a night to remember for Bidvest Noonan.

We were honoured to receive Overall Excellence in Facilities Management, the evening's top award, recognising the standard of work right across our business. It capped a remarkable night that also saw us win three further categories: Cleaning Service Provider of the Year, Client and Service Provider Partnership of the Year alongside Nissan, and FM Service Provider Team of the Year with our TransPennine Express team.

Four awards in one evening, and every one of them down to our people. We look forward to putting a spotlight on our winning teams over the coming weeks. A huge well done to everyone who played their part in this success.

Meet the team supporting State Street across its three sites in Ireland.

Tomorrow, we’ll be at the CBRE Supplier Partner Event 2026 at Old Billingsgate in London.

Bringing together CBRE teams, clients and supplier partners from across the UK, the event is one of the biggest dates in the FM calendar, with around 2,000 people attending in recent years.

This year’s theme, The Power of Partnerships, will put collaboration at the heart of conversations around innovation, sustainability and the future of facilities management.

Our Bidvest Noonan Business Directors, Damien Webb, Adrian Canale, and Barry Dawson, will be there throughout the day, and we’re looking forward to catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones and sharing some of the work we are doing across our business.
