Today has probably been one of the busiest so far this year. Sub and I were at our first job for 7.30 this morning. Back home this evening at 7pm. Thanks to all our lovely customers who kept us hydrated 😀

It's not just sweeping chimney's !

Together with our sister company Calcaria Stoves Tadcaster and Tadcaster Town Council we help to keep Tadcaster town's hanging baskets watered. With a contraption we made, we can get around town every second day to keep them fully hydrated.
Whilst this is voluntary, we are repaid many times over with the lovely comments we receive from the public and businesses alike.
It does give the town a splash of colour 😀.

What a busy day in yesterday's heat. Grateful thanks to our lovely customers who kept Sub well hydrated.

A before and after following a sweep on the Clock compact stove. Certainly had some good use judging by the amount of soot that dropped 😲

Called out to a customer today reporting what they thought was a bird stuck inside the chimney above the wood burning stove. After carefully laying my dust sheets, I began stripping down the stove. Base brick, side bricks, back brick, baffle followed by a secondary baffle plate but no sign of the bird. I could definitely hear scratching from above so I lit my torch, placed it into the stove then hey presto, down dropped an adult starling. I managed to delicately extract this inquisitive chappie and released him/ her outside.
All in a day's work for the Yorkshire Sweep 😀

Visted an existing customer who recently moved house. Her new house had six open fires to sweep. The worst one being this kitchen fireplace. We used our traditional brush and rods on all of them. It was certainly a good work out for Sub and myself. Who needs a gym 🤣🤣🤣

Annual sweep on this Woodwarm Fireview which is flue'd into a clay lined flue. To ensure a thorough clean we use our steel cable whip head which does a fine job.
