We are currently having problems with our landlines. During a switch over from copper to digital we have lost our number temporarily. We have two lines coming into the property with two separate numbers, however during the transfer of our broadband service both numbers got cut and restoring one number lost the other. BT are currently working to restore our numbers onto a digital server which may take some time yet to resolve. In the meantime I am only contactable via email or mobile on 07563192463

Some people just don’t understand the public health risk! Never encourage or feed rats, they destroy buildings, carry disease and nibble on people as they sleep! Checking the effectiveness of a treatment from a top floor window where wasps have found a way into the cavity to build their nest. Plenty of dust on these angry fellas which will be carried into the nest. Wasps were getting lost and finding their way into the bedroom. More ratting action around the farm on thermal scope. This group of rats on the feed never knew what hit them. Hikmicro thermal scope and the .22 FX Impact rifle, took 82 rats in a couple of hours.

It’s been a very eventful 24hrs with the bad weather and winter tyres only got me so far yesterday. I went west to an urgent job and basically could not get back east with the drifting snow.
At Orphir, the A964 was blocked above Houton for a while and Hobbister had horrendous drifting snow and zero visibility. After finally getting to the Brig of Waithe at around 16:45 the road was blocked at Tormiston with only the Brodgar Road clear. The Dounby route was fairly clear but the Harry road was blocked. This put an end to any further plan of getting east. I decided to park the van up safe but made a stupid mistake of pulling onto what I thought was hard surface, but drove into a soft verge with my front wheels and just couldn’t and wouldn’t get out, snow or no snow. I was in the mud! Many thanks to Kevin Ritch for taking the time with his little lad to pull me out with his loader and for his efforts trying to clear the road, which soon became impossible as drifts were 4ft deep! However, both myself and the van were sorted.
Finally, many thanks to all the farmers out there that really made a huge difference and still are, shifting mountains of snow from the roads. Well done!
