With all the rats in Orkney this would be a good thing! As the stoats decline the rats and rabbit populations have exploded! Diversity is a good thing, we need predators and at the moment we have the rat as king with the odd wild domestic cats, that can not keep up with the explosion in either rabbit or rat populations.
