The landscape team have been busy in Kingussie working on a project for one of our regular maintenance clients.

It’s always great to be able to create new outdoor spaces for our clients, alongside keeping their gardens looking their best all year round. We’re looking forward to seeing this project take shape!

A bit of action from a recent commercial job in Aviemore. 🌲

Our team removed a dead pine tree, cut back overgrown vegetation, and cleared the site to improve safety, access, and the overall appearance of the property.

Meet Catriona, our Office Manager. She helps keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes, supporting the team and keeping our landscaping projects organised.

🌿 Favourite part of the job?
“I’m usually the one ordering plants for our landscaping projects. I enjoy working with our nursery suppliers to find the best plants for each job. Plus, it’s always nice when the dogs come to visit the yard!”

🌱 What do you enjoy outside of work?
Gardening is Catriona’s biggest passion, so you’ll often find her in the garden or greenhouse at the weekend. She also enjoys travelling and loves visiting gardens wherever she goes.

We’re lucky to have Catriona’s organisation, knowledge and passion as part of the Morrison Tree & Landscape team. 🌿

A conifer tree removal in Boat of Garten last week. 🌲

This conifer had simply outgrown the space it was planted in. As trees mature, what once looked like the perfect spot can quickly become overcrowded, blocking light, encroaching on buildings, or becoming too large for the surrounding garden.

Our team safely dismantled and removed the tree, leaving the area clean and tidy for the client.

Do I really need to maintain my trees? 🌳

Short answer… yes.

Trees are living organisms. Just like anything else, they benefit from regular care and maintenance.

Ignoring them can lead to:
🌿 Dead or damaged branches
🏡 Increased risk to people and property
☀️ Excessive shading and poor light
🍃 Branches encroaching over roofs, roads or neighbouring properties
🌳 Poor long-term structure and health

Regular inspections and pruning help keep your trees healthy, safe and looking their best, while often preventing much bigger (and more expensive) problems down the line.
