We all drive past those dirty buildings and think how nice it would be to get our hands on them.

Every now and again one of them randomly falls into your inbox.

This filter manufacturers offices in Kent was on my radar for years as I drove past it several times a week. Covered in green algae it was great to transform the building for the client.

Cracking results and a job that we're hoping to get as a regular annual clean.

A foot in the door with a new client and a new opportunity.

The team working on the south east coast cleaning the full external to this Mecca and Casino.

A shift in our own work hours to work around the clients business hours to get the work done.

Great feedback from the client and all the onsite staff.

A trip to a development in Essex to tackle some rotten render for a regular client of ours who we have previously support across multiple sites over the years.

Maintaining consistent presentation across multiple properties helps protect reputation, tenant satisfaction and long-term asset value.

Clean CCS provides reliable cleaning services designed to support property managers and multi-site operators.

The render on this building was tired looking and dragging the overall appearance of the building down.

Our C.L.E.A.N Teams cleaned and treated various render sections giving it a much needed lift 🙌🏻

This property dated back to the 1500s so when the enquiry came in the homeowner had real concerns about having the roof cleaned and moss removed.

It was clear from the early stages that the clay tiles were in poor condition showing signs of spooling across various pitches.

We opted for a soft scrape on this to protect the delicate surface. We then finished off with applying a quality commercial grade biocide product which will kill off the remaining growth over the coming months.

Tough conditions for the team working in sunshine one minute and torrential rain the next but they knocked it out the park.

Positive feedback from the homeowner highlights the importance of walking a customer through the journey when they’re nervous about a service.

A last-minute requested from an existing client of ours asking if we could attend on a Sunday morning to give this front entrance glass canopy to this Health Centre a spruce up.

Projects like this highlight the importance of -

✅ Careful access planning
✅ Safe high-level working
✅ Operational coordination
✅ Minimum disruption delivery
✅ Experience commercial cleaning teams

For Facilities Managers and retail operators, maintaining standards across busy commercial sites often means finding contractors who understand how to work around operational environments, not against them.

Site surveys and quoting.

We’re considering introducing a charge for site surveys.

Over recent months, we’ve seen a significant increase in requests for site visits, surveys, and detailed quotations, only to receive no feedback or response once the quote has been submitted.

Communication is fluid, well structured until you submit the quote and then you simply get zero response on all fronts of communication. It’s become noticeably worse this year so is it time to make some changes !!

Site surveys require time, travel, expertise, and resources, all of which come at a cost.

While we’re always happy to invest time in genuine opportunities, we’re exploring whether a survey fee, potentially redeemable against any resulting order may be a fair way forward.

Two photos. One term break. Same roof.

School roof clean signed off this week, in during the closure, out before staff and pupils were back.

Aluminium scaffold tower was the right access call for this one. Stable, safe, fits the footprint without chewing up the playground or the playing field. MEWP would've been overkill for the job and harder to justify on a school site.

Schools are one of the few environments where the maintenance window is non-negotiable. You don't get to extend the job by a day. You don't get to come back next week to finish off. The work fits the calendar, or it doesn't get booked.

If you're a school estates manager or academy trust FM planning out next term's maintenance, the time to book external works is now, not the week before the break starts.

Back on a park shelter roof recently, our second visit after the initial clean.

The first photo is how we found it. The second is after we'd finished.

Moss build-up on a slate roof isn't just an aesthetic problem. It traps moisture against the slate, breaks down pointing, blocks valleys and gutters, and adds weight to a structure that wasn't designed to carry it. Left long enough, you're not looking at a cleaning job any more. You're looking at a repair job.

Planned annual visits keep it controlled. One day on site, no chemicals washing off into surrounding planting, no damage to the slate, and the structure looking how it should for the people using the park.

This is what preventative maintenance actually looks like.

Roof cleaning …….

An increasingly difficult market to be competitive in as it's become saturated with small companies, soul traders using substandard equipment, with no training quite often not VAT registered offering the service at rock bottom prices.

But we stand firm in the belief that we provide a premium service using market leading and the best access equipment you can invest in.

Another 2 roofs being cleaned today making it 5 in this close.

But that's not the WOW factor !!!

I thought getting to 10 would be good, then 30 seemed unachievable so to find ourselves exceeding 60 roof cleans in a single postcode is truly phenomenal.

These are numbers 61 & 62 💥🔥

We have another roof booked next week and we’re negotiating with another 3 homeowners for a group booking so dare I set myself the challenge that 100 roofs could be reached 🤯

Cladding clean wrapped up in Tunbridge recently, block management instruction on a tight town-centre site.

Jobs like this are rarely about the cleaning itself. They're about everything around it.

Limited footprint to set up. Pedestrians moving through. Residents coming and going. Parking restrictions on the surrounding streets.

Neighbouring properties close enough that anything you do has to be controlled, contained, and done quietly.

That's where planning earns its keep. Right access spec for the space available, right method for the cladding system, team briefed on the site constraints before they arrived. In, done, off site without leaving a trail of complaints behind us.

This is the kind of work that keeps block managers calling back, not because the cladding looks better (it does), but because nobody had to chase us, apologise for us, or unpick a problem after we left.
