“When the dog doesn’t care for schedules and decides they should be seeing Cranbrook Petcare today!” 🤣🤣🤣

Apparently Tilly spent the morning sat by the front door refusing to move because she thought it was her walk day 🥹

Her owner eventually opened the door to prove I wasn’t coming… and straight away she raced to the gate, tail wagging, looking up the road waiting for me 💔🐾

I honestly don’t think dog walkers ever get used to moments like this. Being trusted and loved by your dogs means absolutely everything and it’s the absolute BEST reference and recommendation we could ever ask for❤️

What a week that was! ☀️🐾
Here’s just a snapshot of the few walks we did manage.
With the heat, we’ve had lots of walks cancelled, others moved to earlier times (thank you all so much for being flexible ❤️), plus plenty of house visits with some new furry faces.

Thankfully it’s cooled down a little now, and we’re hoping to get back to a more normal routine next week 🤞

7am, 14°- perfect dog walking weather.
The summer can throw up challenges for us dogwalkers. But we adjust, reschedule and cancel where necessary.
Very lucky to have awesome clients who trust us and are super flexible to make sure all pups are safe and happy.
Not to mention, it’s actually too hot for us humans to be out walking in high heats all day!

☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER PLAN 🐾☀️

With the temperatures rising over the next few days, we’ll be putting our hot weather routine into place to keep all dogs safe and comfortable.

My regular clients know the drill, but here’s a reminder of how things will work during the heat:

🐶 Walks will take place earlier in the day
🏡 Dogs home alone will be prioritised
💧 Pop-ins may replace walks if temperatures become too warm
🌳 Walks will be slightly shortened and focused on shade, water, and keeping cool
⏰ The working day will aim to finish by around 12pm before peak heat hits

As always, your dog’s safety and wellbeing comes first. No dog will be walked in unsafe temperatures just to stick to routine.

Our new Friday morning group is full of happy paws, wagging tails, and dogs loving life out in the sunshine.

We’ve got a couple of permanent spaces available on this session. Priority will go to existing clients, so pop me a message if you think your dog would love to join us 🐶

Weekend well spent 🐾💛

I’ve had the best time looking after Jack & Nova this weekend — plenty of fun, playtime, and cuddles (as you’ll see in this video). It’s always such a privilege to spend time with your lovely dogs in their own homes.

As much as I’d love to say yes to everyone, I’m now fully booked for overnight sits until the end of September. Thank you so much for keeping me so busy and trusting me with your pets — it really means the world.
