Public AEDs save lives, reduce legal risk, empower communities, and represent a practical, high-impact investment in public safety. Their presence significantly improves outcomes in one of the most time-sensitive medical emergencies.
There has been a recent investment with the purchase of AED (Automated External Defibrillators), which will be rolled out across all the sites in the company. The first site to receive one is the Dunaree Quarry, Drumquin and a public training event associated with it on the 30th January 2025 at 05:00pm. All welcome to attend.

Concrete Batching Plant Operator
B McCaffrey & Sons Ltd wish to recruit for the position of Concrete Batching Plant Operator at Carn Quarry, Ederney.

Duties will include –
Operating a computerised batching system to produce concrete to customer specification and technical standards.
Carrying out daily plant inspections, housekeeping and maintenance.
Assisting in the block yard as and when required.
Occasional driving of mobile plant i.e. forklift, loading shovel and telehandler.

Desirable Skills –
Competent in basic IT/computer operation.
Experience of conveyors, mixers, and automated plant.
Experience of driving and operating mobile plant.
