THEY’RE BACK! 🚨 Cracking little hookbaits if offensive aromas are your thing. Expect a nasal invasion of natural garlic, if Natrepel has been scoring well for you, then this little blighters are what you need as a hookbait.

Now all back in stock but only £8.99 for this week. As of monday they have to jump right up to £11.99 frustratingly! Consider this a ‘sorry sale’ for how long it’s taken us to source the gear to make these! Apologies!

Episode #15 LIVE. Search for ‘Fishery Fastlane’ on YouTube or wherever you listen to your podcasts.

Sparsholt College rivals reunited! I studied Fishery Management at Sparsholt College with Mark. It didn’t take long to recognised how employable he was right from the get go, he was the man to beat!

It’s been great to catch up with Mark in recent years, both sharing the same passions for angling and rugby! Marks story is different to most of the other students that I studied with, having listened to his calling in his late twenties, making that pivot towards his passion and making the leap back into education later than most of us.

Now the river keeper of an enormous Cotswold estate. Mark tells the story of how the opportunity of a lifetime came to be. A true traditional country gentleman that is fully deserving of the life that was once just a pipe dream.

Oooh eggs 👀 i’m sure there will be more of this going on this week. A lengthy growing season ahead if they can get it done this early 👌🏻

Another year that proves fish don’t go by the book, they’ll go when they’re ready. Enough sun can cause the first domino to fall, then they all go.

This year has been a case of getting my head around the installation of new machinery and improvements in the mill which has kept me from spending any focus elsewhere. So I’ve not been very active on social media or put any thought to helpful youtube stuff whilst i’ve been occupied.

The other plates to keep spun are the upkeep of the ponds, feeding of fish and fulfilment of feed orders at the busiest time of year. Really excited to tie up the loose ends in the mill over the coming weeks and months.

I have made the effort to not let the best time of year to pass me by. An hour before dark has been great fun to meet up with fish that were born and raised on the feed that I spend my life making. 🇬🇧

Hope you and your fish are well set for the growing months ahead. Keep them fed 😜💪🏼

Ben 😁

🤯 It's mad how we all get carried away by coarse fish and big fat carp, when there are species in our river systems that have the most INCREDIBLE life cycles. It's tough to process what these fish do!

Dan certainly gets excited seeing it around the estate grounds of Plumpton College.

Catch Episode 12 which went live last week with Dan Hatherley-Hurford.

13/04/2026

This is something that Dan does very well. Without going down the rabbit hole of free speech and what's appropriate and what isn't, has the level of conduct that comes with professional roles forced humans to become too robotic at work?

Dan teaches fishery management to students, I've been around him when he's teaching and it's clear to see how respected he is by his students and how he uses humour to break down those barriers and engage them by making learning less robotic. The world needs more of this doesn't it!?

Fisheries enforcement, Dan has done a lot of different stuff! Episode 12 has gone down really well, have had some very positive engagement from individuals who have met or been taught by Dan.

If you've not listened or watched this one yet, just search Fishery FastLane wherever you get your podcasts or watch the conversation on YouTube.
