My lovely clients have moved into a rental property. While their home under goes construction work, the property is very quirky and perfect for them, however, the rent is astronomical. So what on earth is going on with letting agents and landlords these day, that rent out properties that have not been cleaned to a high standard, this property has not been cleaned for months. Well today is a not so happy Monday.
We were starting a new client today, we ordered some specialised cleaning products as the new clients have beautiful oiled oak work surfaces, as a company and even though we use high quality products which are kind to you, us and the environment these products are not necessarily kind to various items with in your home. With the car loaded and we are ready to rock and roll, to find out that the road to the property is closed for road works, with diversions in place, which take me on a massive detour around the outside of town to bring me to the other end of the closed road, which is a one way system that we cannot go down, long and short is 1.5hrs wasted this morning, I have gone home.

It was a brushed steel kind of day, Thank goodness for WD40, one quick sq**rt and we are streak free.

Sometimes people seem to think I am super Human..Nope! Just human, after turning my house upside down Twice, then starting on the car, cancelling clients because I could not find my car key, convinced the hubster had picked it up by mistake, there was only once place left to look, The Bin!!!! And yes ashamed to say nestled among the empty mini cheddar packets I had removed from the car door pocket yesterday afternoon, was my car key...can I say if you see me today keep a wide birth as I smell like a dustbin aaarrrggg.

We said a sad goodbye to our client Ruby today, it was very moving, she had an amazing history and she meant so much to so many people in the local area, she started work at 14yrs of age as a housekeeper and went on to be a Nanny for most of her working life, caring for the children and homes of a couple of local families. I know they meant a lot to her as she would talk of them fondly, but today I realised she meant a lot to them, with one of her past babies giving a lovely eulogy.
God Bless Ruby, you really were such a special lady, you were and are greatly missed.
