My own stove the Burley Brampton 8kw wood burning only. The burley stoves with their fireball technology are some of the best on the market, maintain a fire with very little air being taken. A fire with a strong heart burning lightly is much hotter than a roaring fire that draws far too much air. Take that as you will although I intend a factual statement.

Here is some information on climate change and solid fuel burning. It is considered biogenic and evidence that burning solid fuel is a culprit is anecdotal at best and not science based.

Of course, the answer is no. But It’s a good question because burning wood produces carbon dioxide (CO2), doesn’t it? Trees take up carbon as CO2 from the air as they grow. This carbon is stored in various forms within the wood. The carbon in trees is referred to as biogenic carbon.
