🏒❤️ A Proud Hockey Mom & Dad Moment!

A little something personal from our DKI Truro family today!

Our son Luke played his very first hockey game, scored his very first goal, AND was named Player of the Game! 🥅🏆

Knowing how far he’s come and seeing the excitement and pride on his face is something we’ll never forget. We couldn’t be happier or prouder of our boy! ❤️

With Ronald McDonald House Canada being involved in minor hockey, it makes moments like these even more meaningful to our family. As proud supporters of Ronald McDonald House, it’s pretty special to see two things so close to our hearts come together.

Sometimes it’s about so much more than hockey. It’s about the journey, the memories, and watching our kids do things we once only dreamed of.

Way to go, Luke! Mom and Dad are so proud of you! ❤️

🎃👻 What an amazing day in Downtown Truro! 🧡🖤

The DKI Truro team had an absolute blast being part of the Downtown Truro Trick or Treat event! 🍬

We were so excited to be involved in such a fun community event and loved seeing all the smiling faces, creative costumes, and excitement from the little trick-or-treaters! 🕸️🎃

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us and to the organizers for putting together such a wonderful event!

Join us this Saturday, October 24th, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in Civic Square for our annual Downtown Truro Trick or Treat, presented by RE/MAX Fairlane Realty!

We're transforming Civic Square into an accessible Trick or Treat Village, with 50 local businesses and organizations coming together to hand out treats and celebrate Halloween with our community! 🧡

We’re still thinking about what an incredible day the 1st Annual Levi Luther Golf Tournament turned out to be, and we truly don’t know if we’ll ever be able to put into words just how grateful we are.

To every golfer who joined us, every sponsor who believed in this event, every business that donated, every volunteer who gave their time, and every single person who supported us in any way — thank you.

❤️ THIS is what community looks like. ❤️

There are moments that make all the planning, the long days, the stress and the hard work completely worth it — and this was one of them.

When we started the Levi Luther Golf Tournament, we knew why we were doing it. We wanted to take something that means so much to our family and turn it into an opportunity to give back to Ronald McDonald House Maritimes and the families who depend on it.

What we didn’t know was just how many people would stand behind us.

Our community showed up in a way we will never forget.

Because of every sponsor who said yes, every golfer who joined us, every business that donated, every volunteer who helped, and every single person who supported this event, we were able to present a cheque for an incredible $56,266. 🏡❤️

Looking at this picture, we feel nothing but gratitude.

This was never about putting on a golf tournament. It was about giving back. It was about helping another family have somewhere to call home while their world is turned upside down. It was about taking the kindness that has been shown to families like Levi’s and passing it forward.

And somehow, all of you made our first year more meaningful than we ever imagined it could be.

We will never forget this day, this feeling, or the people who made it possible.

WOW… WHAT A DAY! ⛳️❤️

Our hearts are incredibly full after the 1st Annual Levi Luther Golf Tournament in support of Ronald McDonald House Maritimes

We went into today hoping to raise money, bring our community together and support a cause that means so much to us — and somehow, you all helped us far exceed what we ever expected. ❤️

To every golfer, sponsor, donor, volunteer, business and person who helped make today possible — THANK YOU. The generosity and support we felt today was absolutely incredible, and we truly could not have done this without each and every one of you.

And we need to give one of the BIGGEST shout-outs of the day to McDonald's Truro🍟☕️❤️

From supplying coffee and muffins for everyone this morning to stepping up and serving supper to all of our golfers, your generosity and support from beginning to end was unbelievable. You helped us take care of everyone today, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything you did to make this event special.

We are so incredibly grateful to the Truro Golf Club for welcoming us and supporting our 1st Annual Levi Luther Golf Tournament today!

After weeks of planning, organizing, incredible generosity and so much support from our community, we are beyond excited to welcome our golfers, sponsors, volunteers and supporters for what we know is going to be an AMAZING day! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

This tournament is about so much more than golf. It’s about coming together as a community to support a place that gives families a home, comfort and hope when they need it most. ❤️🏠

And remember — you don’t have to be at the tournament today to be part of it!
