A NEW CHAPTER – INTRODUCING DADS ECO! 🇦🇺🌿
Some of you may have noticed that our old Ultrasoft Townsville page has recently changed its name to DADS Eco.
We thought it was a good opportunity to explain the change, share a little history and, most importantly, explain the difference between DADS Eco and Ultrasoft.
Many longtime followers will remember that this page originally belonged to Softwash North Queensland, a business that closed in 2022 for personal reasons.
After a few challenging years, I've finally rebuilt my life, and now it's time to bring back another part of what we used to do — supplying quality Australian-made cleaning products to everyday Australians and professional cleaners.
Welcome to DADS Eco!
DADS stands for Dad (that's me!), Adam and Stephanie. We're a small Australian family business with a simple philosophy: offer great cleaning products that actually work, are safer to use, environmentally responsible and reasonably priced.
THE SAME PRODUCTS YOU REMEMBER, UNDER A NEW NAME!
For those familiar with the original Softwash North Queensland shop, there's some good news.
The softwash and exterior cleaning products in the DADS Eco range are based on our original Softwash North Queensland formulations. Many are essentially the same products under a different brand, while others have been refined and improved through years of real-world testing.
So whether you're an old customer or discovering us for the first time, you can expect the same performance, quality and value that helped build our reputation, along with some exciting new additions.
There's a reason so much of our original wording, product names and slogans has found its way into the industry over the years. We've seen plenty of familiar language appear elsewhere, but we've always believed it's what happens when the product is actually used that matters most.
Our formulations have been developed with a focus on genuine cleaning performance, exceptional value and responsible chemistry.
We don't believe effective cleaning needs to come with unnecessary harsh additives, potentially harmful ingredients or substances associated with serious long-term health concerns.
We also believe customers deserve to know what they're buying. We're committed to current, transparent product information rather than relying on outdated labels or incomplete disclosures to make formulations appear safer than they are.
Good chemistry should do the hard work, not clever marketing!
SO, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DADS ECO AND ULTRASOFT?
Although the two businesses share our experience, knowledge and commitment to responsible chemistry, they serve different purposes.
Ultrasoft® is our specialised exterior cleaning system, developed through years of research, field experience and equipment development. It uses specific cleaning processes, purpose-built equipment and carefully selected formulations to achieve the results we've become known for.
Products carrying the Ultrasoft name are exclusive to Ultrasoft licensees. They're part of our specialised cleaning system and aren't available for general retail sale.
DADS Eco, on the other hand, is our cleaning product business, offering a wide range of Australian-made products for homeowners, businesses and professional cleaners.
We actually use several products from the DADS range in our everyday Ultrasoft cleaning operations. However, because the Ultrasoft system is unique, some of the products and formulations we use are unique to that system too.
The two businesses complement each other, but they remain separate brands with different purposes.
