A sharp edge matters. But so does who is standing behind the whipper snipper.

Anyone can mow a lawn.

The difference is often in the details.
Turning up when you say you will. Taking pride in the job. Leaving things tidy. Having a quick chat if someone feels like one, or quietly getting on with it if they don’t.

Support at home is not just about getting the grass cut. It’s about feeling comfortable with the person walking through the gate.

If you’re part of the HomeFront crew, we bring more than just the right tools that cut pristine edges. We bring respect, patience, empathy and a listening ear.

Good support (and good edges) is never just about equipment or skill. It’s about sending the right kind of people to do the work.

Let HomeFront take care of the details so you don’t have to.

Prepping your garden for our green thumbs? It’s time to start strong with the essentials.

When you have mulch and other consumables on hand, the HomeFront team can really hit the ground running. It lets the crew make the most of their visit by prioritising garden maintenance tasks at your request.

🚨DVA-Funded Household Services do not cover consumables like green waste removal, mulch, w**d sprays, and pool chemicals. But that doesn’t mean we can’t help you out with these tasks!

In this instance, our client chose to use part of their gardening allocation (combined with having mulch on hand!) so our crew could spread a good layer of mulch around the garden in addition to completing other tasks.

Not sure what you can get done with your garden allocation? Get in touch with HomeFront.

We became aware of a social media post today where a service provider photographed their customer’s home and publicly mocked the condition of it.

I was disgusted by it.

I recognised the service provider's name and it turns out that they'd delivered services through HomeFront Australia in the past, and had several upcoming jobs.

Based on the post alone, I contacted them personally, made our position clear, and have cancelled all upcoming work allocated through HomeFront.

Not one job, all of them.

HomeFront delivers over a million hours of services to veterans each year, and a million more to other customers and clients.

We support people whose circumstances can make it difficult to maintain their homes.

That's the reason support exists.

A client’s home is never content and their circumstances aren't a punchline.

We demand high standards from the people who deliver services through HomeFront. It's why we exist.

If you cannot respect the client, you cannot represent HomeFront.

We don't do witch-hunts, people are fallible (even the good ones), but to the extent we can influence and stamp out this behaviour, we will.

Is your bedroom really set up for the rest you need? 🛏️

The bedroom should feel like a reset space, but it’s often the first room to fall behind.

Tasks like lifting mattresses, reaching under beds, or tackling dust and clutter can quickly become difficult when your week gets away from you, or when you’re dealing with an injury.

A few simple changes can make things easier:

✅ Start small with low-impact tasks like wiping surfaces or dusting shelves
✅ Make the bed. Even a quick straighten can calm chaos
✅ Use long-handled tools to avoid bending, twisting, or straining
✅ Keep bedside clutter under control with a quick daily reset
✅ Clear shoes, cords, and baskets to reduce trip hazards

If it’s all becoming too much right now, that’s okay too. Just give HomeFront a call.

When you’re fighting for calm amid the chaos 🌪️ it’s the little things that make a big difference.

Creating a comfortable home is a great and healthy way to escape the noise.

Here’s how to make the most of your garden:

🍃Choose a shady space. A spot under a tree naturally feels more peaceful.
🍃Add a comfortable seat. A garden chair, bench, or even a picnic rug can make the area inviting.
🍃Create privacy. Plants and decor like hedges and climbing vines help block out noise and distraction.
🍃Let nature lead the mood. Listen to the birds or enjoy the breeze.
🍃Keep essentials nearby. A book and a cuppa make it easier to settle in and unwind.

Get ready to reclaim the moment and make it your own. Whether that’s through listening to music or your favourite podcast, diving into the latest read from Brothers and Books, or clicking through RSL Queensland’s helpful Be Well program modules.

Need a helping hand to make that space?

HomeFront is here.🏡

Keeping an eye on the constant changes in legislation is a bit like watching a tennis match this year.

Tuesday’s Veteran Family and Wellbeing forum, among other things, tackled some of the most recent changes head-on. The new $5,000 annual cap on allied health services was top of everyone’s agenda.

Hosted by RSL Queensland and Legacy Brisbane, the ESO forum is a lynchpin of where community concerns are currently focused.

Another key presentation by Gallipoli Medical Research unpacked emerging PTSD research, including how trauma impacts physical health outcomes and the development of new clinical tools to improve treatment and medication management for veterans.

One message stood out across every conversation: no single organisation can do this work alone. Better outcomes happen when services, communities, and support systems work together and stay connected.

Of course, in true veteran community fashion, the day was also filled with plenty of laughs, networking, and Jeff McLean somehow successfully “herding the cats” as MC while keeping a packed room of organisations on schedule.

For HomeFront, forums like this let us see firsthand how much practical support, community connection, and early intervention can impact veterans and families navigating transition, injury, and life after service.

This year’s Behind the Mask Gala was a powerful reminder of what this community does best: show up for one another.

More than 300 people came together to support PTSD Resurrected inc, helping raise an incredible $140,000 on the night.

For us, the impact of this event has never just been about one evening. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of knowing Andrew and Zoe Cullen and watching their passion and work up close. We’ve seen the difference PTSD Resurrected makes, not just during their courses, but in the months and years that follow.

We’ve seen veterans and first responders walk away with renewed hope and confidence, and the ability to reconnect with themselves, their families, and their communities.

To date, Andy and Zoe have supported more than 1,300 REBOOT graduates and over 3,000 family members and caregivers. Those numbers matter, but it’s the people behind them that stay with you. That’s why HomeFront continues to stand behind events like this year after year.

We know these programs change lives, because we’ve seen the outcomes firsthand. Support like this creates impact that lasts long after the gala lights go down.

A huge congratulations to Andy, Zoe, PTSD Resurrected, and everyone who helped make the night what it was. The compassion and commitment within the veteran and first responder community continues to be something pretty special to witness.
