Be safe guys and put that beauty back together and it will rise

Good morning 

Last night at around 11:00 we suffered a severe blow at the Lodge, when the kitchen area set alight destroying the main lapa area which houses the bar, seating and serving area and lounge. 

We are assessing the situation at the moment. we are so thankful nobody was hurt, all staff and guests are OK.


However, due to the nature of the damage, regretfully, we have no other option than to postpone all bookings until further notice. 

This will give us time to access the damage and make alternative plans to accommodate guests once again. 

We will keep everyone posted on a daily basis with the progress and outcome. 

We trust that you understand our situation and that you will bear with us.

We were so excited today, hearing our plea for shade. Hayfields Mica Hardware store manager, Ashleigh Gouws Amos, reached out to her supplier, Matus and organised the donation of a 50m roll of 80% shade cloth. Thank you Charles for delivering. This should go a long way in helping to keep cool, our dogs in J block, during this swelling heat wave! Thank for your kindness to animals we are very grateful for what you have done for us.

A couple of weeks ago Mike & I were riding our bikes on the boardwalk & came across this sweet soul walking his beloved golden.
She’s 14 & not so good with her legs so he pulls her around on this bed he made so she can enjoy the smells of the ocean. I had to stop & express my love for his extraordinary care ... compassion, kindness, love. I need more people like this in my life.
