Mr. Chalmers' owner of Steri-Clean, Inc. was the one that launched the series after a production company filmed him and his team cleaning several hoarded homes. Chalmers is now a regular featured expert on the show and helps cleanup the most difficult hoarding cases across the country. Chalmers founded Steri-Clean, Inc. "Hoarder Helpers" in 1995 while working as a paramedic and seeing a huge need to help people with this disorder. In 1997, Mr. Chalmers was hired as a firefighter in Orange County California and quickly advanced to the rank of Captain. His knowledge of city codes, the violation process, PO's, and S.O.P.'s is key in his contracting services with over 4 dozen cities that Steri-Clean, Inc. works with. Since that time Mr. Chalmers also became one of Nation’s leaders in hazardous materials, emergency management and Hoarding/Biohazard response and remediation. Our mission is to help those afflicted with this disorder and to provide them with the tools and skills needed to live a clutter free life. We offer understanding, trust and hope in a caring, compassionate and discreet environment, while providing the quality of care our clients expect and deserve.
