🍂 Well… fall definitely showed up.

The cooler air, shorter days and that unmistakable fall feeling are here.

For pool owners, that also means it’s time to start wrapping up the season and getting pools ready for winter. A proper closing helps protect the pool, plumbing and equipment through the colder months and makes spring opening easier.

If you’ve been putting off your pool closing, the weather is giving you a pretty clear reminder. 🍁

As a company philosophy, we believe in giving back in charitable ways by supplying our time, efforts, resources and talents whenever an opportunity arises. We also feel strongly about supporting our local law enforcement agencies.

Recently we had an opportunity to do both. A friend of Fox Pools and Carmel Police Officer (who shall remain anonymous) suffered severe property loss during the July flooding of the White River. Suddenly his young family’s first house (which came with a pool) had fish swimming in it. The officer asked if we could get his pool up and running just to get the smell out of his yard, stating that would make the reconstruction efforts more bearable.

We’re blessed to be able to spare some man hours, and to have the exact pool pump in stock to retrofit the flooded pump full of river sediment inside. We’re blessed to have guys who don’t complain when mucking out dead frogs and minnows or when pressure washing inside a pool where the temperature radiates to above 100 degrees. And we’re also blessed to partner with great suppliers like A1 Pool Water who donated and hauled in all the fresh water.

The pictures don’t do it justice. Our new friends are rebuilding. They won’t be back in their house for a year. But at least their yard no longer smell like a swamp! And they can cool off if it gets too hot inside the gutted house.
